In 2009, Dr. Kent and Jenny Rosengren were introduced to EFT, also known as tapping, and shortly thereafter, The Emotion Code. As we started to learn about the power of energy and being able to balance and release issues with which we struggled, we began to heal at an accelerated pace. As we worked on ourselves and others, we began to realize that false, limiting, and negative beliefs were at the core or root of much of the suffering for people, ourselves included.
In 2016, we came to know of a negative beliefs list created and compiled by Wendi Jensen, a skilled EFT counselor. She is also the author of The Healing Questions Guide. The list was comprised of seven pages, front and back, consisting of positive and negative beliefs organized by chakras. Seeing this wealth of information, we knew it would require categorizing the beliefs into smaller sections to be better utilized with applied kinesiology, or muscle testing.
Jenny purchased the rights to the material from Wendi and then spent countless hours with her dear friend, Michelle Hill, categorizing the beliefs and even coming up with a few more to add to the lists. Much of what took so long was the processing and profound healing they both experienced by being exposed to all the limiting, false, or negative beliefs and the empowerment that came from embracing the positive beliefs.
In 2016, at the Winter Homeschool Conference, Jenny gave her first presentation based on positive and negative beliefs and introduced Over 1000 Categorized Positive and Negative Beliefs to the world.
Since that time, we sold around 3000 copies of the hard copy (no longer available), and now offer English and German PDF files, an English Kindle Edition, and a German Kindle Edition - it’s hard to keep track! It is a thrill for us to hear from people who are located all over the world as they share their personal experiences with 1000 Beliefs and how it has helped them to better their lives and the lives of their clients.
Dr. Kent Rosengren teaches an online self-paced Body Based Mindfulness course. In the classes, the participants learn, not only to process negative emotions, beliefs, and images, but to also process through the equally important physical sensations and movements that almost always accompany the emotions and negative beliefs. All of these issues can often be the product of traumatic experiences.
With over 20 years of experience as a psychologist, Dr. Rosengren is more than familiar with the negative effects of trauma. Everyone experiences trauma in their lifetime, whether it is capital T Trauma, or a lower case t trauma. Anyone can benefit from becoming aware of his/her sensations and movements accompanying the negative emotions and the beliefs that they have adopted.
The Body Based Mindfulness course is a culmination of Dr. Rosengren’s many years of experience and training. He knows that, contrary to popular views, the effects of trauma need not last forever. He knows the Body Based Mindfulness course to be a gentle approach to healing from traumatic events.
